KIDS’ STIRRUP LEATHERS WITH KLOGS are ideal to put on ANY saddle. They slip on the bars of an English saddle (make sure the safety clip is up), and they slide easily on any Aussie saddle. They also go on any Western saddle, as a replacement for the heavy fenders that are impossible for kids to use, because they cannot turn out in a short length and they are extremely bulky especially when shortened and they do not turn. Find a Western saddle that the kid fits, then remove the fenders from the slot, and slide these leathers through, so the Blevens buckle hangs to the inside. When the foot goes in the stirrup, the Blevens buckle faces up the trail and does not hit the shin. The klog is a traditional small, light stirrup that prevents the foot from going all the way in, thus working against a drag. The covers also keep toes warm in cold conditions! The first picture shows the kids’ Klogs/Tapaderos fitted with English leathers and sleeves . NOTE the English leathers are left long so they can be shortened as desired.
