The SEAT SHORTENER does just that — it shortens the seat of Aussie stock saddles, and would do the same on many Western saddles.. One inch of cushy foam padding is sandwiched between two layers of soft leather, to make a sculptured pad that slips over the back of the saddle to be shortened, and then is secured with two ties on the pommel. In addition to the ties on the front, there are two push snaps at the back. The SHORTENER is actually a seat on top of a seat. It shortens any stock saddle by one inch, without altering the ride, because the stirrup suspension bar is in the same place on any size Australian Stock Saddle. It simply moves the size down a full inch. This equipment is idea for saddles being passed down a line of kids. or from or one adult to the smaller adult.
