The LIZETH PILCH

$1,045.00

The LIZETH PILCH is Colin Dangaard’s rendition of the centuries-old “pilch” that first appeared in England a couple of hundred years ago, then went to Australia. Similar models appeared long ago in America, for Western saddles. It is simply an independent and small saddle that rides behind an adult saddle, to which it is securely fastened. Colin’s version has a padded seat, and a lift on the rear-underside, so the saddle sits level on the horse. There is a monkey grip for the passenger or he can simply hold onto mom or dad, which a parent might prefer. The stirrups are clog style, so a foot cannot get through. You can also cinch it on a horse or pony because it is built with a cinch ring, as well as a ring for the stirrups. Colors brown, with brass fittings, or black with silver fittings.
