The Incredible Withers Bag is being offered once again by Colin Dangaard.

This amazing bag was last used in battle a hundred years ago by the Australian Light Horse. Its primary use was to haul ammunition that commonly weighed 50 lbs .

There is a military equation that says any weight put behind the saddle is doubled for impact on horse. Any weight placed over the front legs and bearing directly on the horse’s center of gravity is divided by two. The withers bag is placed directly in front of any saddle with straps that tie to the top of the saddle.

A strap goes around the chest, and other straps go through the girthing system.

The widest part of the bag is 8”, the gusset is 4” depth of bag is 12” and the top closure is 4” x 6”.
