The solid leather ADJUSTABLE TRAIL BELT is 3” wide with a solid brass two-tongue stainless steel buckle. It adjusts through 10 inches by undoing the leather lacing at either end. One pouch is 6” wide and 4 “high with a canvas gusset that stretches out to 4”. The closure is a nipple strap. The pouch was designed by the Australian Light Horse and was last used in the charge of Beersheba, Sinai Desert, October 1917. The belt was worn around the neck of the horse. Shown is an original belt from that historic charge — the last and most successful cavalry charge in history.
