I have been riding horses since I was a little girl and I have had my own horse for the past 10 years.  Up until recently I have ridden in your average Western and English saddles.  I came across Colin Dangaard’s saddle on a friend’s horse up at our boarding facility in Topanga and when I saw it I literally said: “that is exactly what I have been looking for!”

Finally a saddle that is comfortable for both the human and the horse.  It’s sheepskin and basically a bareback saddle with stirrups and a horn/handle with front leg pads that prevent one from sliding forward going down hills.  I immediately contacted Colin and placed an order for one that was custom made.  I have had this saddle for the past 3 months and I am so happy with it.  Have much better physical contact with my horse while riding in the saddle and it allows me to direct my horse with minimal effort.  Yesterday, as I put on the old Western saddle and took my horse on the trail I realized after riding in Colin Dangaard’s saddle it has made me a better rider all together.  I highly recommend owning one!

And Colin is a very cool dude too!
