The BLACK CARVED SAFETY STIRRUP is a great example of the metal carver’s art. Beside looking like jewelry, it is safe and extremely comfortable. The foot rests on a platform that is 4” deep. and 4 1/4” at it widest. The height is 4 3/4”. The foot tread is made of suede leather that has a slot on the bottom, that slips into a slot on the bottom of the stirrup, to prevent rotation with foot pressure on uphill or down action. It also has a 4.5 degree camber to keep the heel down automatically. The curve on the side is for safety: it is very difficult to get hung up in this stirrup. The weight of this construction-grade aluminum stirrup is 14 ounces. This stirrup is multi purpose. The slot under the bar at the top is 2 1/2” so it can accommodate Western fenders of that common width, along with Aussie fenders that are almost always that width.. The slot at the top of the bar is 1 1/2” to take all English leathers. Sold by the pair.
