SANTA MARK 11

1,500.00

The legendary SANTA MARK 11 is a heavy duty saddle built by Trevor James of Australia. This is the saddle that is in high favor in the Outback by “ringers” who ride rough horse at the gallop through the roughest cattle country on earth. They bet their life on staying alive with this saddle. Shown here is an 18” seat, with a Barcoo head, built for keeping the rider in, especially during a crash, which happens regularly in the bush. The idea is you ride the horse into the ground, then step off. With a bit of luck, horse gets up and you, and you climb back in the saddle and gallop on and catch up with the feral cattle. Yup, its a hard life, for man and beast! Price $1,500, mounted ready to ride. Saddle sells new for $3,000 — if you can find one! The Santa Mark 11 is fleece lined and fits a horse with a good, well defined wither.
